 Julep Maven VIP

So, I have partnered with Julep to test out their VIP program, Before I get into the ligistics, let’s talk quality.. Some of you may know I wear Gel polish or Shellac pretty much all the time. When I’m not blogging I work with my hands and it’s important that they always look perfect. I do however get a regular nail polish pedicure and I like to match my nails and toes, which can be tricky because basically only OPI makes Gel in the same colors as they make their regular polish so I usually end up just getting close or wearing a french manicure and bright toe color. When I received my Bombshell box (more about that in a minute) I was thrilled with the colors they chose for me and the addition of glitter. I took them into my nail salon because I’m not one of those girls who is good at painting my own nails or toes. Because I am usually so picky and it’s hard to match, I generally stay in the safe zone of color and chose something I’ve worn a million times. But this time, I was inspired.. I found two gel colors that matched Eva and Viola (the Julep colors) perfectly for my hands and decided to use Eva for my toes with the purple glitter they included over the top. Before I even had the chance to ask my pedicurist what she thought of the polish (She has complained about polish I’ve brought in in the past) She looked up with a huge smile and said that the brush was great, the polish spread evenly, and the polish was very shiny. She started asking about price and how to get it for the salon- I’m not joking…  She did however complain a little that the glitter’s container wasn’t great and should have had some kind of pour spout as to not waste any by dumping it over the nail, and to avoid getting her nails glittery by pinching and sprinkling. Anyway, I think the result was fabulous and I was inspired to try new colors out, which is huge for me. The best part though? They don’t use any toxins in their product so it’s good for our nails and the environment… I highly recommend Julep nail polish- especially if you paint your own nails, based on the way my pedicurist was raving about it!
